Facilitate with us

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE CLASSES TO FACILITATE

  • This is the original DAV offering. Life drawing as most know it, but unlike many, everyone is welcome to join regardless of skill level and actively encouraged to let go of any inhibitions. Our facilitator’s job is to create a welcoming space where even the most novice of illustrators feels like they are in the right place.

  • Learn: This event, referred to as our Guest Series, invites an experienced artist to teach different methods of illustration, from materials to techniques, guests will discover something new in the world of drawing. Just like all of our events, there is no minimum skill level required.

  • Connect: During these events, ticket holders will be encouraged to socialize, discover how other people create art and make new connections. Facilitators will need to be gracious hosts making sure everyone is having a good time. If the room is having a hard time breaking the ice, the host must stimulate conversation and engage with the guests.

  • In this type of event the goal is to interpret the abstract. Unlike standard life drawing, guests will be invited to draw more interpretively. What does movement feel like, what do sounds look like, what colour is a violin note versus a percussive drum? Separate your creative mind from your logical one and make art freely.

  • There are many ways to heal traumas and feel at peace. This event focuses on the well being of our guest and helps them navigate certain aspects of their life be it trauma, creative blockage or just looking to fall into a meditative state making art. Our facilitators help create a safe space and ensure everyone’s needs are met,
